But if you must I would try and find something discreet. Maybe something you can hide in the fresh air vent on the cowl or something.

Re: ad windshield washers what are you using

I have a Princess Auto (yeah, I know it sounds stupid) near me which is like a Harbour Freight in the US. They sell a small washer reservoir that has an integral pump and a push button swith to mount in the dash. I haven't hung it yet but it has a bracket to bolt to the firewall, it holds about 2 litres.
After I picked up and installed a Newport Engineering wiper motor I bought the switch to make it intermittent. It has a switch built in to the knob and when the knob is pushed it powers up the washer pump.

**OK here's what I wanted to add to the thread.....
After you have the reservoir installed what do you use for a sprayer nozzle and where is it mounted?

I considered drilling holes in the cowling and installing those beetle shaped domes, with dual outlets, like on a car. I would run the fluid hose throught he firewall onto the hose connection under the cowl inside the cab.

Re: ad windshield washers what are you using

that is what i ment by ad washers atomsplitter. the res and pump are not that big of a concern to me it is the nozzles. i have a set from a jeep wrangler but not sure if i want to use them. as i would have to drill into the top of the cowl.

Jeep CJ's have nozzles that mount to the hood, I'm looking at maybe using that for mine.

Didnt some of the 80s gm cars have the squirters mounted to the wiper arms? That might be a good way to hide them.

But then you would have an ugly hose hanging off your wiper arm. Just saying, cuz the wiper arms ar so small.

Re: ad windshield washers what are you using

The wife's 98 Sunfire has them built into the wiper arms... you don't even notice them... then again... they don't spray the best, but they are hidden!

Will TF wiper arm bezels adapt? They have the hose connection and are tapped for the spray piece.

Re: ad windshield washers what are you using

I have seen some AD trucks with a an accessory washer nozzle. At least two of em one was a big truck 2 ton or bigger, the other was a highly optioned 53 GMC. Seems like they were mounted in holes in the cowl. They are here. http://www.chevsofthe40s.com/detail/...R_SPRAYER.html

Re: ad windshield washers what are you using

Weird! This discription states that these sprayers will fit Chevy trucks through 1950. What makes my 51 different at the cowl than the 50?

Windshield Washer Nozzles. Chrome w/ mounting bracket.
Mounts on cowl below windshield, must drill hole.
This part fits most 1940 1941 1942 1946 1947 1948 1949 1950 Chevrolet Trucks Exceptions may apply. Please read the complete description to see if this part fits your specific vehicle and application.
