Re: gas gauge reads full constantly

Wrong sender? Did the sender come with the gauge?
GM is 0-90 ohm
Autometer 30-240 ohm? Jay

Re: gas gauge reads full constantly

autometer makdes different gauges to work with the facotry sender... do you have both of your gauges hooked up? like both fuel gauges? I had a wierd one in a past truck that both were hooked up, i unhooked the stock and the auto meter started working... wierd. otherwise your signal wire is probally grounded somewhere.

Re: gas gauge reads full constantly

iam pretty sure i have he right gauge for the gm sending unit, i got the sending unit from performance online with my tank 0-90 ohm same as the gauge, the only thing i could think of was i set the sending unit up wrong as it was a universal length one

so other than that i need to check the wires, the truck has a painless wireing harness in it also

thanks for your time

Re: gas gauge reads full constantly

Could b a bad ground connection... I had the same problem with my factory fuel gauge and it ended up being a cut ground wire to the sending unit.
