AAMCO Transmission Uvalde Rd

OK I took my truck to have them rebuild the tranny its a 700R4. Got it back the water pump was leaking at the piont where it bolts up to the block. They charged me $80 to fix it because i did not have the time to do it. Then I get it back and the AC don't work I look at the lines and the larg line has been loosened. Has anyone ever had this kind of problem out of these people before?

Was the water pump leaking before you brought it to them?

Not really knocking the company as we are a business to. however as a prior customer i would never take a vehicle to AAMCO. Too many smaller companies do a better job for less, at least around here. i don't trust them. used them two times

Re: AAMCO Transmission Uvalde Rd

I would call the manager and complain to him, if he wont make it right, take it up the line. Mention to all of them, that there wasnt an issue at all with the Wp or AC prior to them touching it and that you suspect theyre employees of sabotaging the truck to make more money, I bet you will get their attention. some dealers used to do this years ago.

I used AAMCO 30 years ago and something similar happened. they got my car in the shop for the tranny rebuild and then called me like 4 times to report "other issues" that needed to be taken care of...I jerked the car out from under them and took it somewhere else for 1/2 the price.
