6 lug rotors
I need 6 lug rotors for my 83 spindles on my 65 and was looking for sources. Looks like CPP has them but is there any one who carries them on the east coast?
Thanks Jimmy

Re: 6 lug rotors
I got mine with my kit from McGaughys, but I don't see a site that sells just the rotor. WHat size brakes? Mine were a 12" rotor IIRC.

Re: 6 lug rotors
They are the 12" 1 1/4 thick rotors. I just looked them up and they don't seem to be in stock any where. Summit had a listing for the part number and they were $135 each. But they don't stock them.

Re: 6 lug rotors
CPP is where I'm going to be ordering mine from, they're also the cheapest
Also...are you swapping over to a 73-87 crossmember and upper and lower A arms? If you're keeping your 65 crossmember you'll need conversion brake hoses, the stock 73-87 ones won't fit unless you weld new tabs onto the front of your crossmember and run your lines like they did on the later model trucks. I'm keeping my 66 crossmember and A arms, running 73 spindles/joints/steering, and using conversion hoses from CPP to do my swap. Last edited by k1rodeoboater; 02-22-2011 at 03:42 PM. |

Re: 6 lug rotors
I swapped in everything from the 83 along with 2 1/2" drop spindles. I am using stainless brake hoses and have moved the tabs. Added power steering and power brakes while doing the front end. Was going to swap the rear to 5 lug but after not being able to find a rear and finding a real good deal an some 6 lug wheels a rotor swap was needed. Gonna try and call CPP again today, got put on hold yesterday and left a message bud did not get a call back. A vendor on the east coast saves on shipping and the 5 to 7 days it takes to get stuff.
