Re: Who has an LS in a 64-66...other than me?

Well, Gostranger, the reason I am asking is that I have a stainless flex hose on the lower and it is kinked pretty good. I have really looked all over to try and find a "molded" hose that will work and not have the bind that I think it has now. I have the stock upper hose ( 02 silverado), cut short and spliced with a molded (90*)hose that is the same size as the aluminum radiator intake using these...

I am looking to do the same thing on the lower....

that is why you asked i think and may be wrong but speeway had some curved or 90 degree aluminum hose connections that might be exactly what you are looking for hope this helps

I sent them an email, along with summit. I can drive my truck, but it drives me nuts just knowing it is kinked.

Re: Who has an LS in a 64-66...other than me?

When I do my hoses I always get a piece of welding rod or a coat hanger, and mimic the bend I want, then go to the local auto parts store and start searching through their inventory. It usually ends up being something I have to cut down, but there's usually something that works. I have a much bigger radiator in my LS swap than the stock one, so a trimmed, factory '71 C-10 lower hose worked for me.

Skoffice,

When you say much bigger, how do you mean? is it the same width as stock? is the lower outlet the same place?

my rad is exactly like the factory one only it is aluminum. I am thinking about making a 1.5" steel tube and connecting with small pieces of rubber hose.

That's what I would do if you can't find a whole rubber one. Cheapest way to do it too. Maybe go 1.75" just to keep things uniform. I'm pretty sure that's what my water pump outlet was?
