93 s-10 4.3 in a 86 s-10

Hi I'm new to this site have a couple of question some one may be able to answer here it goes.I'm taking a 2.8 from my 86 s-10 and putting it into a 85 s-10 will I have to change the whole wiring harness from my 86 to the 85 cause the 85 had a 4 cylinder in it? From the 93 to the 86 will I have to take all the wiring harness from the 93 to put the 4.3 in it since the 86 had the 2.8? Am I looking at a really big job or what? What about the computers will they have to be switched too? I hope some one can answer. Thanks Dennis C.

i dont know about wiring harnesses, i have never had to deal with them. but if GM was smart they would make one harness and use it on all the trucks reguardless of engine. but... they didnt ask me.. i would also be will to bet that you will have to change the computer.
