Exclamation How low can I go on the cheap?

Current stance

Looking to slam my burb as low as possible for the least amount of money without sacraficing the geometry of the spindles. I do have drums on this 70. trying to take a break from the bodywork for a little bit/gain some motivation for wrapping it up sooner than later...

Looking for some thoughts/ideas....

Thought one just cut springs and see what happens, lol

thought 2, lowering springs for 2" in front and back(I would gain a little rake)

thought 3/ sprindles and springs all around for a more serious drop...

Please share you're opinions/experience/pics here, either way I am replacing the shocks(please show me some links for shocks/ companies for the springs/spindles)

If I can get spindles/shocks/ springs on the cheap I would be in heaven. Just trying to see what my options are from your experiences what companies/packages work well.

I should mention that the goal of this rig is a cool hot-rod on the cheap/ rat rod budget trying to pull off a 10-ft hot rod- A mickey mouse rod

BTW, I have searched but have not found any specific links for packages and hope this thread will help for new guys in the future as well.
Thank you in advance for you're help here.

Re: How low can I go on the cheap?

If your truck still has the original springs, you're dealing with weak springs (at best) that may not allow for equal lowering even if the cuts are identical. In my opinion, your desire to retain the proper steering geometry, is counter to the idea of cutting your coils. Doesn't mean it can't be done, but it is my opinion...and the reason I went with ECE spindles.

Re: How low can I go on the cheap?

Spindles are the best way to go up front, but.....you can get 2 -2 1/2" on a cut coil up front (1 full ring), & run a 2" block rear. That is about the cheepest route to go, & should not cause you any issues best of fun, crazyL

You don't. No one makes drop spindles for drum brakes.

Re: How low can I go on the cheap?

Do a disc brake swap from a squarebody, grab the swaybar mc and prop valve too, then get some spindles when $ comes, till then cut the front coils 1 round
