Hood Hinge Spring Question

On my blazer springs on my hood hinges are put on opposite ways. The driver's side spring is installed from the top and the passenger side from below. I hope this makes sense.

Does it matter how the spring is installed on the hinge. I've seen pictures from using search where some are like mine and some are installed from the top.

Re: Hood Hinge Spring Question

it doesn't matter one bit.
You can remove one and flip it if it bothers you too much

Re: Hood Hinge Spring Question

Putting new ones on and just didn't want to repeat anyone's mistake. Thanks.
