Headlight Adjusters 65 Chevy
I went to adjust my headlights tonight and there are no adjusters. Will any adjuster work for this time period or are there particular ones I need?

Re: Headlight Adjusters 65 Chevy
I bought some for my '65 C10 from NAPA.. they worked.
As I recall they were just like the ones on my '69 Camaro, and as the ones I had on a '70 Nova. I don't think GM changed these for quite some time. Last edited by lakeroadster; 02-24-2011 at 09:44 PM. |

Awesome.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/62-68...item2c5a221fa4 I installed these a week ago. I just picked up a sweet grill today, too.

Re: Headlight Adjusters 65 Chevy
FYI: Probably could have gotten those for half the money at NAPA or ADvanced Auto or Checkers..... whatever the local place is where you live.
They have racks of generic "HELP" components. The adjuster screws and plastic retainers are a couple bucks. Last edited by lakeroadster; 02-25-2011 at 09:40 AM. |

Re: Headlight Adjusters 65 Chevy
I recently picked up some to re-do my '66 grill/headlight assembly. I threw away the plastic threaded insert as it did not fit and used the square insert found on license plate mounts. Worked perfectly for me.

Re: Headlight Adjusters 65 Chevy
Funny you should mention that. The ones I bought at NAPA were flat like the license plate ones too, except they came with longer than stock adjuster screws to make up for the difference.

Re: Headlight Adjusters 65 Chevy
I had the plastic piece from who knows when and I used the screws from the kit. The kit came with a plastic 'tower' that did not fit. I thought the plastic was for a license plate but I may be wrong.
