Does anyone know where to get stock brake parts for 47 Chevy 1/2 ton? Removed wheel and drum from left front and everything is gone. i can find springs and such but not the metal parts.

Here is a link to all the parts NAPA has for 47 3100 trucks. See if they have what you need. Looking at the results it does not show any of the small metal pieces. If you are close to a large city find a brake part wholesaler, the parts were the same for a lot of vehicles and I bet they have access to them. If not someone here might still have the stock parts laying around from their suspension upgrade. Jim Carter also has a bone yard of used pieces.

Classic has the parts too! I would buy new if I was going to restore it. Sorry I sold mine for scrap when I put on my Nova clip

I checked both of these with no luck. I have found out now that I need the backplate and hardware.

Called LMC they don't have it. Searched Classic parts online, no luck.

Call Jim Carter's company. He started collecting old and nos parts at least 30 years ago. He was one of the first that started reproducing parts. He does not have them listed on the web page but has an inventory of used parts. I will keep my eyes open around here for stock parts for sale. You might also do a search for parts threads, a couple of years ago there was a guy in Eastern Idaho that was parting out a bunch of AD trucks.

Had to read your first post again to figure out exactly what you were missing. Looks like you found it though.

If you are going to run the stock setup with axe, brakes and all you should probably check the king pins and go ahead and replace them before putting the backing plates on. Save taking it apart again.
