Commercial cab swap

Hey guys, my neighbor has a big old GMC 3500 which appears to have the same cab as our square bodies eventhough the entire front end tilts forward. The cool thing, is that it has the small rear window. Do you know if you can swap these cabs onto one of our frames and everything meets up properly, ie the front end bolts up?
Has anyone seen this conversion done before?

Cheers

Re: Commercial cab swap

Its bigger than a 3500 if it has a tilt front end, and the floor an firewall are different. So it is not a bolt on. Jay

Re: Commercial cab swap

I have not seen that, but there is a company that makes 18 wheeler style cabs which fit on a pickup frame. They look like the tractor type RV rigs only downsized a bit. Might be good if you are doing a total rebuild.
