Are there 2 700R4 shafts?

So I had my 2 piece drive shaft built...got the truck jacked up and all excited and they damn yoke wont slide in.

The Tranny has 27 splines and the yoke has 26 but it has that slot....so is that a 27 too?? (meaning the yoke has one slot where a spline looks missing)

I read something about a 27 and a 30 spline...

Ruined my day...but I didnt get all the other stuff hooked up. Finish wiring the electric fan tomorrow, a little gas...and should be able to hear the ol' girl again!
