Something I'd like to see a vendor make/sell

I've seen a couple of hoods on 69/72 trucks that guys cut and used the top part of a 67/68 hood to get the slick nose on a later truck without changing the whole front end. I was sitting here thinking that I wished someone would make and sell that style of hood with the reverse scoop on it. Is that something crazy to wish for or is there a market for 67/8 style hoods that would bolt on a later nose?

Sounds like a good idea that would sell. Maybe adding the cowl induction to it would narrow the demand too much. They'd need to make both versions, like other hoods, and that requires two sets of dies.

A pie cut in the hood of the '69-72 hoods, that takes out about 2 1/4 inches is one way to get that look you want. You're limited in how much you can cut, due to the radiator support. Custom Classic Truck magazine did an article about three years ago, maybe four, on this hood.
