VIN HELP!!! 1966 Chevy - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I've got a 1966 chevy I'm about to start restoring/updating/customizing and I am needing help decoding the VIN number. I've found lots of info for 1965 and back model years but not for the 1966.. My VIN number is C1446S170702. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also the Trim code is STD and the Paint code is 537AD. Help on these would be nice too.. Thanks!!!

vin indicates it is a 66 swb 1/2 ton chevy built in the St. Louis plant and I want to say 70,702nd model made that year. Hope this is what you were looking for

This helps some. I am curious as to what the C144 mean. I'm guessing the following 6S is the year and plant and the rest of the digits are the production number.

c is for 2wd. 14 signifies 1/2 ton shortbed 115" wheel base and the final 4 means that it is simply a pickup. The trim code iirc means standard. Can't find the paint chip online anywhere.
