I got 3 ft of 1/2" vent tubing and 2 feet of gas tubing but I don't remember the size. I took the tank with me to the parts store so I got the right fit.

Thank you! As for the seat the PO used vinyl paint on it. It used to be maroon. I repainted the seat a few months ago because the maroon was starting to come through.

I am not a welder so patching it will have to wait but I found the following thread that gave me a cheap alternative.

But I'll have to redo it because my old gas cap and tank tube grommet are worn out and it leaked when it rained yesterday.

Re: New Gas Tank Installed....CHECK

Sonicman, where did you route your 5/16 vent lines to?
I know where the 1/2" line goes, but was wondering where to run my vent lines. I've also been wondering if one of the 5/16 outlets may be a fuel return line? If so it wouldn't work as a vent line. I recently bought a tank from Classic also and it did not have any port identification at all.

The line would be 5/16 or 3/8 depending on which line your truck had to begin with. Most sixes and 283's had 5/16 while 327, 350 and big blocks had/have 3/8

The line comes in various lengths with fittings on both ends.

You also need a tubing bender and a tubing cutter. I should say a good tubing bender and even though I have a half dozen different ones I haven't found the perfect one that will bend tubing every time without kinking it.
