What is this hole for?

Just to the left of the brake light routing alcove, there is a hole (just under the jack lock down. I can't remember what thats for? Anybody know? There is one on each side.

Re: What is this hole for?

I think it's where the fuel valve for trucks with dual tanks is mounted. I think.

Re: What is this hole for?

My 66 Chevy has a duplicate on the pass side so I was thinking they are for mounting seat belt anchors.

Re: What is this hole for?

Mine has a seat belt hole in that location on both sides. Thinking back my wife's 68 F250 also had a tank valve in the same spot. Not sure if GMC offered that option in 1960.

I agree with Delmo. Thats where my tank valve is located, but I don't have one on the passinger side. Will be interesting to find out.

Re: What is this hole for?

The large hole is for the main wiring running to the rear of the truck. The two little holes were probably drilled by a previous owner, or for a dealer installed accessory so they would share the same routing are the basic wiring. Here's a copy of the accessory installation for directional signals on a 1960:
