What is this hole for?
Just to the left of the brake light routing alcove, there is a hole (just under the jack lock down. I can't remember what thats for? Anybody know? There is one on each side.

I think it's where the fuel valve for trucks with dual tanks is mounted. I think.

My 66 Chevy has a duplicate on the pass side so I was thinking they are for mounting seat belt anchors.

Mine has a seat belt hole in that location on both sides. Thinking back my wife's 68 F250 also had a tank valve in the same spot. Not sure if GMC offered that option in 1960.

I agree with Delmo. Thats where my tank valve is located, but I don't have one on the passinger side. Will be interesting to find out.

On the subject of "what is this hole for" can anyone tell me what this hole is for? The hole just above the sill plate one large 1 3/4" hole and 2 holes above it that are about 1/4"

The large hole is for the main wiring running to the rear of the truck. The two little holes were probably drilled by a previous owner, or for a dealer installed accessory so they would share the same routing are the basic wiring. Here's a copy of the accessory installation for directional signals on a 1960:
