needed. Going to build one for the 62 K10, and want to steal, I mean borrow some ideas.

think along the lines of a light bar in the bed that sticks up above the cab

It goes on the front of the bed and protects the back of the cab and the back window. Give it a google and you will see what we mean. Cant say as I have seen one on a 60-66 pickup, regardless of the bed type.

"Headache Rack"... it's a western term.

Photo below is not a 60-66, but is a picture of a "Headache Rack"... aptly named too!

The one's we made at a fab shop I used to work at here in Colorado had 2 x 2 angle that ran the full length of the bed rails. This protect the bed rails and provided a much stronger attachment member than simply attaching to just the stock sheet metal bed rail close to the cab.

Helps prevent slinging a fencepost or 2x4's through the rear window. also lets you haul longer stuff over the top of the cab without banging it up.

heres a real simple one when my dad drove the truck in college. I still have this rack btw
