engine id help
does anyone know where to find how to decode inline 6cyl (stove bolt) serial numbers? i have two that i am trying to identify. the numbers are listed below.
casting number 3835497 (both engines) serial no. 1 --- AHCM27307I serial no. 2 --- HAM543I93 any help or information is helpful, thanks

thanks todd,
one of these engines is in a 1940 chevy fire truck chassis. the cab was used on another project and the body is gone but if you have a need for running gear we can talk to see if i have what you need.
