396 out of my 68 Burb
I have a complete running driving 396 backed by a turbo 400. This set up runs like a top. I am checking into a LS swap and wanted to see what the going rate for what I have is. What I can get out of my current set up will go twords my swap. Let me know what you guys think I should ask for this set up.
Thanks Juan

Re: 396 out of my 68 Burb
I would say around $1500. More if you have AC or smog brackets. Probably worth quite a bit more to someone building a 68 that wants 100% correct components, but you might have to be patient. Sharpie

Re: 396 out of my 68 Burb
Thanks sharpie. That's about what I was I was thinking. So do you put $2000 into a sick rebuild on the 396 or do the ls swap..... Hummmm

Re: 396 out of my 68 Burb
Yep, two completely different directions. For me it would depend on how original the burb is. Not too many factory 68 396 rigs rolling around these days. Kinda wish I still had mine. Sharpie

Re: 396 out of my 68 Burb
It's a very clean 68. Now sporting a full Porterbuilt rear fully laid out so not very original now lol.
