Need some help
I'm in the process of my fram off resto. My question was I bought cpp 73-87 2 1/2 drop spindles for my 1967. I drove it for a while then started the frame off. I want to buy new upper and lower ball joints do I buy 73-87 upper ball joints or 1967 ball joints also I don't see how I can replace the lower ball joints no bolts or rivets to remove are they replaceable or do I need new control arms thanks guys.

Re: Need some help
Hard to do? Not too bad. They're just awkward because of the size & shape of the arm. It takes a little creativity w/a press or using an air chisel/hammer to drive the bushings out on 73-87 a-arms.

Re: Need some help
The upper in that pic is 73-87. The lower is 6x-72 1/2 ton or 73-87 3/4/1-ton.

Re: Need some help
Yes.
If you have a 1/2 ton truck,... order 1/2 ton balljoints. 3/4 ton lower a-arms are different.
