Restoration Package Collection?

Hey all, just had an idea that if some of us with those GM resto packs (or any other usefull info) can scan all of the pages than we can share / collect a full set for our 67-72s. I am not sure if this has been done already or if there is a book that can be bought with the same info in it or a place to buy the whole set.

I have read some other posts of people scanning them and not being able to send them. My thought is that we can zip / compress the files so that they can be sent.

I have a 1970 pack (think its only 20 series though) that I will try to scan and do a test send tomorrow.
Let me know what you all think. Thanks

That would be very cool. Should be able to save each page as an image then upload to the gallery on the site. That way they will always be on the site, not linked to an outside photo storage place...

Here's the gallery link http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/

As long as no one was redestributing the information for sale I don't see how it would be. People have these out for public view at car shows? I'll check and see...

Another questions...is there a date (time period) that makes infringement a mute issue? Just askin

Good question Lee H...

Re: Restoration Package Collection?

Wouldn't this be just like when people post the pages from the factory assembly manuals on here? Or scans of magazine articles, etc....

yes, but all become no no's when it's a public viewing..
if the parties want to go after it..
like say the music industry.. they did go after it..

I could, but I'd rather say copyright, if it were pertinent.

Re: Restoration Package Collection?

I fully understand where the misunderstandings are coming from. Legally you can not reproduce someone elses work, without consent from them. So in this case, we could not condone that, as it would be copyright infringement.

Re: Restoration Package Collection?

I also found this site http://www.tocmp.com/brochures/GMTrucks/index.htm while searching for resto packs. The site itself is a cool concept and there are even some sale brochures for GM trucks on there.
