what to look for in one of these trucks
i have always owned an older truck but am looking at a newer truck prolly arounda 05. i want a crew cab 4x4, is there any major problems with these trucks to look for? i know the rpo codes for the older trucks and how to find gear ratio and if it is locking diff. what are the codes for these options on newer trucks? and any other good info about these trucks would be awesome thanks.

Common problems I can think of, Insterment cluster not working, steering shaft clunk.
RPO codes are: GU6 = 3.42 GT4 = 3.73 GT5 = 4.10 G80 = "locking" diff Post up what you get............we all like pictures |

i knew those codes from my older trucks but thought they were different for these newer trucks. not sure just been told so.

Nope they are still the same (still a 10 bolt rear) The only one I can't think of is 3.23......which is pretty common in the 05+ 2wd Silvys.
