Question Need grille help please

I have an 85 custom deluxe single headlight truck and i think the single headlight trucks 85-87 didn't have the color in the middle of the grille and no chrome it was just all gray with a emblem. Well anyway if that is true i have been looking at the repo grille from lmc for the single headlight trucks and it does not have a bowtie or it doesn't even look like it has a place for one. Can anybody help me out?

The grill on my truck is from an 84 or something, all gray, no place for an emblem. It was put on by the previous owner, no idea where he got it. I met the owner of the truck before him, and he said it was a replacement grill. I ended out sanding it, and painting it flat black. Looks nice.

Okay, my grill is the same, minus the chevy emblem. The bar goes straight across on mine...

Most of the re-popped grills don't have the bowtie, I believe it has to do with trademark and licensing....
