I think Chizzler's truck is a good example of a well done faux-tina paint job. It seems like it should be easy to do but a lot of times they just look a little "off". The truck they did on "Trucks!" looked ok but I think they went too far with it. It looked better before they started adding the white and silver.

They showed that truck briefly last weekend (they are rebuilding the 6-er on it) and the shot they chose made the truck look absolutely horrible. I hope to see more of it; at first I liked it but that last time I saw it looked VERY bad.
