Good lookin Smurf. It was way too tall. Did that 2wd blazer front end have dropped spindles by chance? That's a lot of drop for 1 coil cut. I like the slight rake it has now.
If you haven't already you should check out Dieselarmy13's build thread. His 72 GMC started out looking much like yours. He also has a leaf spring rear.

Re: Like I needed another one of these things....

Yeah, Boog - they are 2.5 drop spindles but unfortunately the 1" rotor version so I had to convert the whole friggin thing to 5 lug and ditch my sweet western turbines. GRRR!

I can tell you that the gopher mounds in the pasture out here are tagging the lower A-Arms and making a big mess in under the hood without fenderwells. Any lower and it wouldn't even make it out to the road. #trapped

Re: Like I needed another one of these things....

I can get a set of these wheels in 16" for about $350 - Anyone think they'd look good? (centerline mojave)

Re: Like I needed another one of these things....

Weekend update from M7:

Added a Lokar shift linkage, swapped the rear bumper from my Blazer, transmission fluid change, new water pump, swapped new-to-me eyebrows, chopped off rear exit exhaust, removed heater plenum and associated junk, aligned the grille shell, added new beefy ground straps to engine / cab, replaced pitman arm and did a CLR trial run on the paint patina. I'm taking Sunday off because I'm tired.

Let us know if you decide to selll of parts to the suburban on here. Might be intersted.
The only parts I'm keeping on that burb are the engine, compass mirror and a few other nick-knacks. I'll be Craigslisting the rest unless someone wants to make me an offer on the whole thing minus the parts mentioned - (I'm not even using the fuel injection or wiring) Feel free to PM me.

You should have been here for 76 days of 100+ degree weather this summer with no rain. Brutal.
