Here is a weird one
So I have bought a compresor and evaporator for my 68 on Ebay and need a couple more parts for under the hood but I am considering hooking them up to a very small underdash unit I found. Why? Even though I won't have defrost I kind of like the idea of keeping my heating system seperate from my ac system. Seems a lot more simple not messing with vacuum lines, hoses, hole cutting and plenum stuff. Then again, I could just go all the way and do a full original ac job but this will cost me much less. (Around 500) Has anybody ever done kind of a half n half like this before? Any thoughts?

Now that's getting it back to they way a lot of them were done in the sixties. Many were dealer installed and they cooled great. Vintage air has a real nice one.

Yeah, I am going for the nostalgic look for my truck, thanks for the info! When I drive it I want it to feel like 1968 but with power steeing? Contradictory huh.
