resistance wire?
After reading a few of the faq"s posts it got me thinking. I'm running a ballast resister with my mallory unilite and was wondering if I could just delete it and run the wire thats wrapped with the white braided cloth directly to the positive side of the coil? Is that wire a resistance wire?

The original ignition feed wire to the coil is a resistor wire on these trucks.

Thanks for the reply jim. I read the schematic again and it actually does say coil primary resistance wire. I don't know why I didn't see that the first time. The thing that threw me off was in the FAQ's I think one of the guys said that by hooking up the yellow wire (which comes off the resistance wire) directly to the coil the coil would not take that kind of voltage. Maybe he was talking about a different wire I dunno I'll have to read that one again. Thanks Mark. scratch that. They are talking about deleting the yellow and resistance wire all together.
