steering parts install... please help! :)

Ok guys, im pretty new to the Chevy world and right now I'm lost... trying to replace idler arm, piman arm, and rag joint on a 68 with manual steering.
I got the idler arm off- got the steering box off- got the pitman arm off, and finally got the rag joint off- BUT i'm unsure how to put it back together! lol!!! I can see the pitman has a flat on it - but the box has 4 flats on the shaft- how do i find the correct spot? - i tried counting turns- not sure if that's working...
Next, how do i make sure the rag joint and box are aligned correctly- the shaft on the box for the rag joint doesn't have a flat...
Sorry for sounding so dumb... I just honestly don't know what i'm doing... yes, i should have marked all the old parts, but this is where I'm at now... thanks for your time and any help you can throw my way.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
