I've installed ORDs heavy duty front shackles. They were 1/2" longer than stock so only netted 1/4" lift. They required up-grading to 1/2" bolts from the 7/16" stockers. They slightly turn the diff back which increases caster slightly. With my 2" lift and the shackles I have no binding at the front u-joint. Anything longer than this(1/2") and you'd probably have to install shims to rotate the diff back up. I've heard of people installing 2" longer shackles with 8-12" lift springs with shims to clear some big tires.
