R 2 1050 dom's streetable
I found a sheet metal intake with twin 1050's, fuel reg and a 250 shot kit on it. I'm building a 505 stroker out of a 427 tall deck block, and was just wondering if you guys think this setup could be streetable for show and go. I don't care if it idles like crap . But it does have to run around town for cruises and some drag racing on friday nights. My goal for the motor is around 650hp at around7500rpm. Any input is awsome thanks.

That sounds like way too much fuel to me for the street. Reagan will probably chime in. He runs two dominators.
I am only putting one 1050 on my 548 that should make at least 850hp.

Thanks for the reply. Ya I figured it would be alot of fuel for my setup but for the price I really wanted it. This thing would look bad ass under the hood for under a grand I was just hopin

If its that cheap buy it and use one carb and the nitrous system then Sell the rest.

Most sheet metal Intakes are designed to operate in the upper rpm range. When it comes to carb CFM size. I believe you can tune a carb to run very well on the street with a timing light, advance kit and a good vacuum gauge with power valves sized properly and some accelerator and discharge nozzles to take care of any off ideal stumble when you leave light to light.

That's kinda what's I was thinking. Some fine tuning and it might be possible. Was hoping some one on here had done it so I could get some real world input. I wouldn't be daily driving this truck just cruising and dragging And showing I guess. Thanks for the help guys all the info I can gather is appreciated

There are 'soft', progressive linkage dominators, and the all out straight 1:1 linkage (meaning the primary and secondary open equally at the same time via a 'gear' not exactly linkage)
I ran a 383 on the street with a custom Prosystems 1050 dominator (soft linkage) and it was a dream to drive around town. A dominator is basically two 500cfm 2bbls married together in one body. With a 'soft' linkage setup you would would be opening only the primaries of each carb until about 1/3 throttle. It would be pretty tame for that many cubes I would think. If the carbs are the straight 1:1 linkage,, Ha,, good luck!!!

Im guessin its 1:1 as it was in a mud bogger and drag car. I would post the add but its already expired as its been for sale for some time. Hes come down from 1500 to 1000 and i was thinking of offering him 800$. It has a grant fuel reg and a holley reg for the nos, and all the linkages.
