Re: just showing off my new used ride!!!!!!

Very nice truck you have there, I like GMC better than Chevy in that year .We are in the market for a newer used truck but dont want full size and will probably get an Explorer Sport Track if we can find one for $10,000 with low miles. It will be my wifes daily driver as I drive my 72 Chevy truck daily .

Re: just showing off my new used ride!!!!!!

I got an '05 as well (regular cab) a couple months back, now I can do serious work to my chev. Put the tonneau on during week two and bought a duramax muffler from a buddy today to replace the annoying flowmaster it came with. The fuel efficiency was a pleasant surprise. Good luck with yours. Silver birch is a great daily driver color. Mine looks nice when dirty

Re: just showing off my new used ride!!!!!!

We've got an '05 chevy. Looks just like your GMC, but the color is just a tad darker. It's Sandstone metallic if I remember right. Just a word of warning, if you hear a clunking sound when you go over bumps, it's the steering shaft underneath the dash. Our truck was bad about this. I know most all '05 Chevys do this, but I don't know about GMC's. You can either take it to the dealer and have them "replace" the shaft, only to have it clunk again, or just drill a hole and install a grease zerk. All they do at the dealership is re-pack it with grease anyway then turn around and charge you for 2 hours of labor.

Re: just showing off my new used ride!!!!!!

Congrats on the new ride, Chuck. I also recently purchased an 05 GMC CC recently. I had to replace the DD F150 that I rolled on it's side.

Didn't figure I could mention Ford carnage without a pic.
