LOW BUCK MUSTANG!! 93 notch 5.0

I just bought this 93 notch 5.0 automatic from a friend last week .He slid it in a ditch and they totaled it. Tweaked the core support a little, scuffed two of the black cobras, and put a dent in the front bumper. He decided he didn't want to buy it back so he gave me dibs. I got it for $1200 and he sold me the ponys for another $100 and the in dash cd, dvd player for $50. I pulled the core support out with my giant pry bar, pushed the dent out of the bumper and you cant even tell it was in the ditch. I put the ponys on it and painted the rotors and drums from red to black. The red paint with black wheels was too much of a contrast ,I didn't like it. Looked like rice. I want to paint the black cobras silver and put them on my 88 gt vert. That along with the aftermarket 1pc headlights made it look like an import. I pulled the 1pc headlights and put on craigslist and sold em same day for $70 bux. then ordered a brand new 6pc set of oem headlights with clear corners from late model resto for $105 with shipping. They should be here in a couple days. A week before my friend wrecked it, we put a 3:73 rear end in and a set of bassanni equal length shorty headers with OR h-pipe and flows. Sounds good. Not fast but is nice to drive. It has tweed grey front seats with a blue cloth back seat. Not sure whats going on there. Also door panels have been spray painted and its like the paint never dried so they are sticky. I plan on fixing the interior up, buffing the cheap paint job and swapping a bunch of stuff from my 88 GT convertible to this. I have a 88 gt convertible with a bunch of work done, 5spd swap, maf conversion, 373s, short shifter, e303 cam, too much to list. This car I have had since college. I had a injector stick open and hydro lock the engine and I think it broke a ring because ever since it has smoked. What I would like to do is take the sweet running 5.0 and auto from the notch and install in the convertible with the original rear end making it a nice drivable car again like it was when I bought it. It was originally an auto anyways. I would then like to freshin my motor from 88 vert and install into the notch along with the 5spd. making it a more fun car!. I have edelbrock upper and lower, bbk TB and egr spacer, 24lb injectors, afpr, bbk cold air, underdrives, too much to list and a set of dart heads. like I said, should make the notch FUN. along with the required little bit of NOS. ANYWAYS these are the only pics I have of the car with my cell. If there is any interest in this thing I will take good pics and follow some of the process. I am going to run the ponys for now but I would like to install the chrome cobras from my black 88 onto the notch. But that wont happen until I can afford some tires for the chrome cobras, The fronts are good but the rears have BFG Drag radials and I plan on letting the wife drive the notch so the drag radials have to go. anyways enjoy! Now you all wonder why I dont get anything done on my trucks. I have 4 project threads going just on this forum. Let alone the ones I dont talk about haha. its automotive A.D.D.

Re: LOW BUCK MUSTANG!! 93 notch 5.0

some pics of it waiting for its new headlight from late model resto, the mismatched interior and in the dash dvd player. Its nice but I think I am going to take it out and put in my ranger. If you open it without the shifter back, it crashes into the shifter and it blocks the heater controls when open. I got a nice alpine I will put in here. And also of how stock under hood it. It still had the air silencer in the fender!!. I has a crappy kenny bell air intake that I will replace with my bbk cold air. And a pic of the used shorty equal length headers. thing still has the distributer boot.

Re: LOW BUCK MUSTANG!! 93 notch 5.0

Wow..very nice car. I love almost all Mustangs but the 87-93 notches are among my favorites. Really hard to find now and getting expensive, especially compared to the LX hatch that you can hardly give away.

Re: LOW BUCK MUSTANG!! 93 notch 5.0

I always liked the look of the notch 5.0's better than the GT's in the Fox Body era.

We had a 03 GT, and loved it. Sold it for unknown reason . Now the wife and I have decided we want another Mustang here in a few years.

One of the orange 2012 Boss 302 Stangs with 440 hp would probably be fun to own. I can't believe the power levels factory cars are being offered with.
