Question on upper a arm shafts
Does the shaft and nuts pivot as one or are the nuts suppose to tighten completely against the a arm and the shaft pivots inside them? I thought the nuts where suppose to stay stationary with the arm, but i can't get the nuts to bottom out on the arms, almost like the shafts are a hair to long????? These are on my '67 swb.

Re: Question on upper a arm shafts
So I get everything torqued down, slide the a-arm assembly on the studs of the crossmember and pivot it up and down and the nuts end up rotating with the shaft. If I'm not making sense please say something......Hahaha |

Re: Question on upper a arm shafts
Your nuts are part of the shaft. When you bolt it up, the shaft and nuts should stay put as u move the arm up and down. The arm should pivot on a bushing. You may be missing a spacer/bushing.

Re: Question on upper a arm shafts
Yea, I guess I miss worded my last post. So it's normal for the nuts to stay stationary while the arm pivots? My confusion is I thought I read somewhere on here that someone tack welded the nuts to the arm which would mean they obviously move with the arm. Maybe I'm just looking way too deep into this, i just want it to be right.
