Pics of the Truck
I need some help with posting pics of my truck so everyone can see what I've been up. Also, how do I get a little picture beside my name/profile?
I can build trucks and beautiful furniture, but don't spend enough time on the computer I guess! Byron |

Re: Pics of the Truck
What problems are you having uploading pictures, as for the picture beside your name you need to go to the user cp or user control panel and edit your avatar there will be options on what avatar you can use or none at all.

Re: Pics of the Truck
Some photo may not upload if they are too large. You can also host them on Flicker, Photobucket or one of the other photo host sites and share them here.
Either by using the right link to post the photo or posting the link to the album. You can't delete it or modify it in the album though or the photo will be lost on the board. |

Here are some pics of the old timer. Hopefully it worked. Excellent directions from Orange and BobinBC, if they worked. Thanks Byron

Re: Pics of the Truck
The last truck I had was a 56. It was all stock and I was sick of being passed by VW's .... Not anymore!

Re: Pics of the Truck
Nice truck, glad you posted those pics. I really like the look, kinda resto-mod with ralley's. Tell us some more about it, is that a 57 colour?

Re: Pics of the Truck
Indian Turquoise and Bombay Ivory are the colors (1957 Chev). It has 4L60E with some tweaking done to the computer so it sets you back in your seat each time it hits.

Re: Pics of the Truck
Very cool truck! I hope to have my 57' painted with similiar colors. I would like to have a similiar paint scheme, but in a flat/primer look.

Re: Pics of the Truck
What did you do for suspension? The seat looks like original style material, very nice. I bet you get people looking at it all the time who think it's a stock resto, until you start it up of course or open the hood....

Re: Pics of the Truck
TCI 4-link in the rear and a 77 Trans Am clip on the front with the big rotors. 95 Z28 rear end with disc brakes and Posi. Disc brakes all the way around.

Re: Pics of the Truck

Re: Pics of the Truck
No they are not the same width. If you look carefully, you'll see that the rear rims have a zero offset (Stockton Wheel). In the future I plan on narrowing the rear end and putting nice wide tires on the back.

I hate how all of the new cars produced are made with such outset rims... I put the formula firebird's rear end in my '55 but it was replaced at one time(while still in the firebird) with a non-posi unit... I guess ill just have to worry about rear discs later since my drums are already plumbed and working... thanks for the reply |

Re: Pics of the Truck
I'll get some more pics in the next couple of weeks. Spring break starts tomorrow and I'm not going anywhere. Anyone out there that built their own speaker box that fits behind a stock bench seat? I want it to sit right in where the tank used to be. If there isn't, you'll see the one that I'm going to be building. Thanks for all the kudos guys. It has got me fired up again to get my arse in gear. As we all know sometimes these projects take alot longer then we anticipated.
