Re: Vortec

You should be able to find a stock flywheel for a manual transmission 1-pc rear seal engine. No big deal. I think the one from a 4.3 will work.

I don't know what fuel pressure a Vortec runs, but I used a stock 87 fuel tank and just changed the pump on the Tuned-Port swap in my '83. You can run 2 tanks but switching is an issue. Another option is to run 1 fuel injected tank and run a transfer pump from the other tank into that one.

Sounds like you have an automatic transmission donor vehicle and are swapping it into a manual trans. If so, you will have to have the PCM re-flashed for a manual trans. You will also want the ODB2 stuff taken out so it is not looking for dual O2 sensors and other stuff. You can use the Yukon harness, but you will have extra wires and will have to do some wiring. This is probably the hardest thing about a fuel injected swap.
