Post up Pics! Trucks and your Pet sidekicks!

My Cat (Carlos) always keeps me company when I'm out working on my Truck.

That's funny, Monday does the same thing. My wife calls her the shop cat.

She thinks she is helping.

That's cool!
You can teach her to pick dropped wrenches, nuts and bolts, etc.

Re: Post up Pics! Trucks and your Pet sidekicks!

She doesn't want to be held, or petted, or anything, she just wants to watch and hang out. If I'm in the garage and she's in the house, she will sit and meow at the door to be let into the garage. The funniest thing is my daughters cat is scared to death of the garage and won't go in there for anything.

<edit> She's also figured out that with the hood up, she can sit on the fender and stay out of the rain. Rain or shine she's helping.

wrong year truck for this forum, but I still couldn't resist. Sampson was 4 months old here, he's now 7 months.

I'm a bit shocked to have one, but she was a stray when I lived in the 'hood, so she was used to hiding under and around cars and scrounging in the car ports for scraps.

As a side note, she also hunts night crawlers (brings them into the garage to play with), so she isn't quite right in the head.

Got one!

LOL none of them are right in the head...they're cats. My folks have 4 now, and each one of them has their quirks. None of them though are near as smart as my 1st cat who died while I was in OSUT. Right now they've got one that sleeps 80% of the time, one that is neurotic, one that has ADHD, and one that is a grouchy old lady

Re: Post up Pics! Trucks and your Pet sidekicks!

Monday will let you know when she wants attention, otherwise she doesn't want to be bothered. The vet said it's common for orange tabbys to be temperamental, it's one of the few traits in nature associated with color.

Fun fact: Only 1 in 5 orange tabby cats are female. The opposite is true for calicoes.

She is also the only cat I've ever known who can growl and purr at the same time. It's the funniest thing to hear.

Re: Post up Pics! Trucks and your Pet sidekicks!

I was told that calicos (true calicos not muted which are 1 color short) are only females.

I kinda hate to admit knowing this (I really am a hot rodder guys ) but male calico's do exist. They are rare and kinda valuable (as cats go) and they are all sterile.

P.S. I love Monday. It looks like she sure knows where the food bowl is, LOL.

I now return you back to trucks and their animal owners...

Hmm, I just heard that calicos are mostly female. I've never had a calico and Monday is the only orange cat I've ever had. The vet said there was an interesting gender bias for those colors that isn't seen in other color types.

My wife thinks she just likes my trucks color since they match.

<edit> Monday is in great shape, but she is VERY fluffy and has that funny old man ear hair to match.

Re: Post up Pics! Trucks and your Pet sidekicks!

actually her liking the truck because of the color doesn't seem that far fetched. All of my parents cats, which were my cats at one point, hide/lay on stuff that they blend into. It's always fun when you go to plop down on the couch and almost/partially sit on a cat. They sure do scream when that happens
