Any trucks in Europe???

Hey y'all, I really haven't been on here in the last 3 years since I moved overseas and had to sell my truck so I don't know if anyone remembers me. Anyway, I'm in Italy now, and I saw a 71-72 longbed driving down the road the other day which re-ignited my passion for these trucks. Do any of you guys know of anyone who has one of ours trucks on the road in Europe? More importantly, do you know anyone who wants to sell one in Europe?

Now who wants to go and leave "Uncle Sam" anyway?

I had a quick look at Ebay Germany, Ebay Netherlands but right on your doorstep in Italy is this little beauty...no idea what 14,800 Euros is in real money.

Re: Any trucks in Europe???

What is this supposed to do? Is it just a cut coil or is there a bag in it? I haven't blown it up to look, but thought it to be interesting. It's got a 5-liter....305 or did someone create a 302 or does it have a real (Z-28) 302? Those Europeans could have even come up with some racing engines, like maybe a Traco, but you'd think he'd have said that.....

Re: Any trucks in Europe???

Well he's got the year wrong "68" so he could have things a bit confussed on the engine size also, or it could just have a later front end, but definately that set up in the pic is hard to understand I can't work the lower control arm out at all.

That looks like a cut coil, and from his/her description "PREPARE FOR susp. AIR." there are no bags.

Why didn't you have your truck shipped over? I'm hoping to move to Brungetto, Italy within the next 5 years. When I do my truck is coming with me!

Re: Any trucks in Europe???

That suspension looks like it'd take some $$$ to make it drivable.

Re: Any trucks in Europe???

Not much on UK ebay at the moment some newer stuff, some older stuff, couple of 73-87's. There was a nice Burb for sale recently but it may have sold. TBH theres not that many 67-72's over in the UK, loads of 50's and older, a few early 60's but not many of our trucks. And no, mines not for sale! It wouldn't be that bad though to fly up from Italy and then take one back, you could either drive it (if you have your own personbal oil well!) or get it shipped.

Re: Any trucks in Europe???

AusTx68 - I couldn't ship it because it had too many leaks. I didn't have enough time before I left to fix it and I didn't have the money to ship at the time. Didn't have anyone to hold on to it for me either. So..

8banger - My paychecks are in dollars so that conversion rate is a MF!
