cracked frame
hello, all. my ? is. the frame on my 70 c-10 has a crack on the hump right over the rear axle. can i weld this and then use a c-notch kit to to help make the frame stronger. also there is a rust through problem on the same side right where the coil spring mounts to the frame, i also thought the c-notch kit would help there also. any input would be great. thanks.

Just be careful with the welding. Not to much heat and weld only the sides along with the bolt supports. Welding along the top and the bottom of the frame isn't good.
