Front bumper
Will a 68 gmc bumper fit on my 71 that will have a 70 grille? I've got a local guy selling one with all the brackets, etc, and I'm hoping it will fit my truck since I have a 69 or 70 grille and front end aseembly to put on it.
Thanks!

Re: Front bumper
That won't matter because the 69/70 grills have them in the grill so he'll be covered.
Does the GMC bumper have the little indents at the top for the turn signals? I can't remember if all years had that or just certain ones. If you're OK with that, it should fit fine.

Re: Front bumper
Check out page 10 of this catalog to see what I mean. If it's an aftermarket bumper it may not even have them (some people put chevy bumpers on GMCs not knowing the indent was missing).

Re: Front bumper
Thanks all! I'll go look at it this afternoon. I guess the brackets are the same then.

Re: Front bumper
I think 71/72 used different outer brackets because of the turn signals, but if you get the brackets with the bumper they all bolt up to the frame the same.
