short stepside -berlin #s73gss tonneau cover

hi has anyone used this cover on their stepside ? -- listed for 1973-88 stepside -same basic bed ---- if so how do they fasten to the bed and are they water tight .. thanks

I saw someone on here with one. If I remember correctly, he said he had to drill holes through the tonneau fram and bed rails and use screws to secure it. You could probably do it where noone would very see how its attached. I know the berlin covers for fleetside come with a rubber/foam seal to go between the frame and the bed. The one I had clamped on my 02 Dodge Ram never leaked. Unless you want show quality, I'd say go for it. They are pretty reasonably priced

Very much so. I checked out the site and didn't find much on how it attaches. One thing i though of was either making a frame that attaches to the floor and extends up to support the cover, or use "well nuts" and put them in where the bed side roles around at the top. Lots of assumptions at this point.
Please share your findings.

got the cover today -- made a dry fit with it and like 4 tires said it has to be bolted to top rail .. will take some pics and will try and post ... senior citizens aren't to good with this computer stuff

Looking at this too. How did the install go? Is it frames inside? Did you have to drill holes in the tail gate?
