Guess the bastard heater control game

Anyone know what this is out of? It was installed in my 72 by the previous owner.

Hmmmm, whatever it's from, it sure works great!! The guy I bought it from was a guy I worked with while I was working at the local auto wreckers. He retro fitted a bunch of crap onto this truck from other vehicles. Good thing I'm no purist when it comes to these trucks

You say that like its a bad thing:p

What are you going to do when that puppy goes and you need to locate the correct fan resistor switch in Flin Flon in January (besides freeze your arse off!) J/K

I'd guess Olds Delta 88 or Buick Le Sabre. It has that Grandma 4dr sedan look and feel. Who's your Daddy, Gram!

I have 2 spare factory 67-72 heater controls in my spare parts box. So if this one does crap out, it's an easy change. Plus I don't drive my 72 in the winter. It's strictly a summer toy

We have had snow in August before, so that's not such a stretch . I usually tuck it in at the end of September.

You gotta try harder LOL

My first thought was Olds also. Wish I could send you about 20 degrees of the summer we're having here right now Tim!

Question

OK ....... I'LL PLAY THIS CONTROLL IS OUT OF A 65 IMPALA (NO A/C). IT THE SAME SIZE AS THE HEATER OR A/C CONTROLLS IN OUR TRUCKS. THEY SURE LOOK A WHOLE LOT BETTER THAN THE PLAIN JANE ONES THAT OUR TRUCKS WERE BORN WITH. THE ELECTRICAL PLUGS ARE THE SAME FOR THE FAN & THEY PLUG RIGHT IN.

I would guess something out of an early 60's Fury. The slider arms in the 67-72 heater/fan controls are really fragile, must have a lot of lead in them. I had to mix n' match parts from 3 units before I finally got it all together and working.
