69 c10
Hey everyone my name is Ken and I am truckaholic, they say admitting it is the first step(of course who wants to be cured right) I just joined up on this great site because I love trucks and I just purchased a 69 C10 project that my son and I are going to rebuild, should be fun. I bought it from a dealer here and they wanted $1500 for it but there was NO way, it needed way to much work and I only had so much to spend (or so my wife told me) so I offered $500 and explained to them that it needed way to much work, and luckily at the time it would not start unless they pull started it with another vehicle and then thay could not keep it running with out there foot on the accelerator. So to make a long story short it is now in my garage all for $500. Overall it is in goodshape, worst part is the floor pans and the rockers. Look foward to learning alot about the process and spending time with the kids building her.

Thanks Geoff, yeah it should be fun and yes the floor pans will be the first thing to get done. Nope Dike is not to far away at all, just right down the highway.

Re: 69 c10
Here are a few more pics of what I have done so far.... got a long, long way to go and it looks like the old midwest is living up to its reputation of destroying metal...might have to replace the whole cab before long. Got the rockers off and have found plenty of holes and patches and a ton of spray foam!! I can not believe how much spray foam I have found. I got the seats out and the nasty carpet out and the rotten dash pad off. Now I just have to buy a small welder. Which would be best to get a stick welder or a mig??
