Bummer...$500 gift certificate

I'm a little bummed out. I was fortunate enough to win a $500 gift certificate at the CPP cruise this past weekend. The only problem is that I have to use it for Unisteer products only. Well, after searching the web site and contacting Unisteer I have found out that they don't make anything for my 1967 C10. I contacted CPP and was told that I can't use it for anything else. Anyone out there interested in this for one of their other projects that Unisteer makes a rack-and-pinion kit for. I would be willing to take $250 for it. Seems like a fair deal.

Wow, I'm so surprised and shocked that happened to you with CPP! Usually they're so customer service oriented. They never have problems or refuse anything concerning their customers.
Aren't they considered the perfect company? Don't they have a perfect track record of keeping their customers happy and satisfied? I've never seen a bad word from anyone on this site as far as their customer service.

I can't believe they didn't bend over backwards to try to help you and work our some sort deal with Unisteer, you and CPP.
Just Shocking!!

AND?

That's like winning a Gift certificate for $500 dollars worth of Peanuts and you're Allergic. In other words, Absolutely worthless.
If Unisteer and/or CPP were worth their word and had a ounce of sense they'd try to help resolve this for 67C10BUB instead giving him the old "Sorry dude, you're S.O.L". They should try to exchange for a lessor value certificate from CPP and give Unisteer theirs back or offer C10BUB 50% off his next CPP order or something.

I don't give a Flyin' F if it's "Free", It's called customer service: "help a customer, keep a customer". Apparently this concept is totally foreign to them........and you.

Good day Sir..................I said Good day.

I am interested in the certificate. Let me check out what they have and I will let you know. I have a dropmember and need a rack and pinion for it.

I don't see how this is CPP's fault. It was FREE.

Re: Bummer...$500 gift certificate

i won a tach dash at the same show, which i have no use for. cpp will not exchange it for anything else as this was donated by another vendor. it was FREE so i am not complaining. these were prizes won in a drawing. cpp has no obligation to do anything...they put on a fantastic event and gave away over 10K in prizes, never seen anyone else do that

It's not their "fault" and I never said it was. They should try to help resolve this so he can recieve something, cause he won a prize for Nothing.

We don't give away prizes no one can use at our car show we've done for the last 22 years. Everything we give as door prizes and/or raffle can either be used or redeemed for Something of value.
