Re: Brand New Holley 670 Street Avenger

Are you sure that is a brand new carb? I only ask because that is an old style box and the carb has older fuel bowls on it. Holley hasn't used that style fuel bowl for several years now. Of course it sure looks new. Are you the original owner? Thanks!

Re: Brand New Holley 670 Street Avenger

I think it's as new as one bought from Summit today, only bought a while ago. I have a new one I bought a few years ago from Byrd who bought it a while before. The box has yet to be opened. I haven't even opened the box he shipped it in. The box probably looks like this one. I jumped on mine like someone should jump on this.

Can't beat the price for a brand new Street Avenger!

Re: Brand New Holley 670 Street Avenger

Actually, the one of the reason I asked is because all of the Holley S.A. has had the name Holley on top of the fuel bowls for at least 6 or so years. The other thing that caught my eye is that the S.A.'s come with the clear sight plugs in a package and the brass ones in the bowl. Someone has switched these out which can still mean nothing.

I bought, went through and sold just a tad over 200 Holleys last year. A buyer has to ask questions. At ABSOLUTELY no fault to any seller, a guy can get carbs through deals that sure look new and are in holley boxes but have had fuel ran through them (maybe even had fuel sit in them) and have washer marks on the mounting holes. I have even had guys flat out lie to me and I was able to bust them by checking a couple of key areas on the carb. Just like a car or anything else, there is a huge drop in value if they have seen any use, just like anything else in life. Below is a pic of the carbs sold today.

Now to clean this up........ The above statements have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with this listing or carb. I just like to ask questions to make sure I understand item offered. From time to time someone will want a brand new carb from me rather than a rebuilt one. I just have to make sure new is new for the end user.

....and it sure is purdy!

Tim.....thanks for the info. Please don't think I was thinking you were trying to pull a fast one sir!!!! Once again, just buyer questions. On the list number on the choke tower, is it an 80670 or 80670-1? Thanks!
