Door problems on my 67
What can I do so the doors on my truck can shut a lot easier, I have to slam them so they can close. I want to be able to just push them softly

Re: Door problems on my 67
I would say start by checking the door hinge pins and bushings. If theyre worn the door will drop when you open it and not close easily. If theyre in good order then you would have to move onto adjusting your striker and or latch. Ive had 3 of these old trucks and none have had doors that close like a new car.

Re: Door problems on my 67
As said above check the hinges, if those are ok you will have to adjust the striker on the door jamb. There is no adjustment on the door latch itself. Aiso if you have new door weatherstrip you will have to re-adjust everything all over again. I can shut the doors on my 68 with one finger. Joseph
