Info needed on Dana 60 rear

So I pulled the full floater dana 60 out of my truck and was getting ready to post it for sale on craigslist, but then I realized that to get the best price out of it I better know the specifics about it. I know that it is a 4.56 and that when the tires are off the ground you CANNOT turn the wheels in opposite directions. This leads me to believe that it has a locker in it, because I've had posi rears before and its hard to turn the wheels in opposite directions, but you can do it. So the info I need to find out about these rears is: Do they have posi or locker? and what spline count are the axleshafts? any other info that you guys can share would be great, thanks in advance!

Just because I know that you guys love pictures!

If it's a factory traction device, then it's a posi. GM didn't offer a locker in Danas. I'd pull the cover and see exactly what it is. It could be the clutches are sticking.

Re: Info needed on Dana 60 rear

The shafts are 30 spline. As special-K said, the factory traction option for the Dana 60 was a limited slip. Anything could have been installed by a previous owner.

Re: Info needed on Dana 60 rear

Thanks for the replies! It makes sense that it would be a lim slip but I thought I had read on here that d60's came with lockers. I plan on opening it up, but it hasn't stopped raining for the last 3 days and I don't have a garage. I know that it is all stock down to the original tags hanging from the cover bolts because my grandad owned the truck before me and he bought it back in 1970
