I would never of guessed that as a factory color, good luck finding an ash tray, you know they are different over the years? You have to find one for your year group and that color.

http://www.americanclassic.com/paint.htm?p1=colors

Hopefully the above link works but if not:

1968 factory paint codes

Code Description
500 Black
503 Light Green
505 Dark Green
506 Medium Blue
507 Light Blue
508 Dark Blue
514 Red
515 Vermillion Metallic
516 Orange
519 Dark Yellow
520 Light Yellow
521 White
523 Silver Metallic
525 Saddle Fawn Metallic
526 Ivory

Just curious because the color of my truck is kind of a turquois which as I understand it is the #503 light green...but in '69 they list a color as turquois. I find it a bit confusing.

I always thought Purs truck was seafoam green a color found in all yrs of the truck. What ever the name the state and other gov. agencies used it as well as available on dealer lot.

Ok I'm getting ready to paint the outside of my truck, which is med green and I'll paint an ashtray if you can get one to me. No cost just shipping both ways and a little waiting. It may be a week before I paint, but it may be three weeks. It all depends on how busy my shop is.

Thanx for all the help and offers guys! I have some spray bombs that the paint shop mixed me up this weekend (for touch-ups and door jambs) so maybe I'll shoot it. The color is pretty close. You guys are all very helpful and I realy appreciate being part of a great team!
