71-72 gas pedal curiousity
I have three different 71-71 gas pedal assemblies and am wondering if anyone has found or knows any rhyme or reason as to what or why the differences?
I do know the one pictured on the left has provisions for a manual throttle cable. |

i have a dumb question, what is that switch looking device in each of your pictures. i always wondered what the cutout section was for? my truck had the one in your far right picture (1972 gmc 1/2 ton 2wd shortbed stepside.)

Re: 71-72 gas pedal curiousity
I bought 10 of those 71-72 pedal assemblies from teeitup last year and got about three different configurations of them like you posted. They all interchange of course, so I just figured it was for trucks with TH400 and trucks with other than TH400 due to the lack of kickdown switch.

Re: 71-72 gas pedal curiousity
I think I've actually had 4 different types, I always wondered why but never asked
