I personally have never seen a 700r4 hold up to much more than 500 hp, even the "well-built one." While they're nice for a driver, you can't deny the shortcomings they have when it comes to strength, which is super important for your application. I'd just run the TH400 like you were planning, that thing should handle like 600 hp without doing anything at all to it. It'll probably save you money, anyway.
