recover dash and door panels
i found a guy in PEARLAND that will do both and in tweed and that includes shaving off the arm rests for 150 bucks. i saw pics of his work and it looks great. he said he would cut me a deal, probably cause of my uniform. what yall think is it worth it

NOt a bad deal but not at all hard to do. The dash is prolly what makes it worth it....hard to stretch it over the curve by the gauges.

Dave that is BADASS site you got there.
BTW i see you still have the door handles. i was thinking of shaving mine off and leave the strap thats toward to top. the guy said he will cut out the hump from the lower handle and attach another piece of plastic so it will be flat.

When I had mine recovered I think the guy used some handles from a newer suburban (98 or so model I think) and they are actually steel so it gives it a much firmer feel than the flimsy stock pieces. $150 is not too bad a price for it though. I think the guy charged me around $100-150 for door panels, dash and visors. I used a leather match material though since I had a leather seat from a 98 Suburban (rear seat)
